Transfer of property through GPA valid before october 2011 in bhatinda
25-Aug-2023 (In Property Law)
Hello sir, Please suggest if it is legal to transfer the immovable property to a third party through general power of attorney in bhatinda before October 2011 since the GPA does not give the right to the title . Kindly advise
The GPA does not give a right of title to the property. It merely gives you right to act on behalf of the original owner who gave you GPA. You can sell off the property on basis of GPA if the GPA mentiones about your right to do so, provided that the person who gave you the GPA is alive.
