Stamp duty on transfer of land bought by father and constructed by son

Hello, My father brought the land against and my mothers name, I build the house and maintaining it since 10 years, now he wants to transfer property on to my name, but do I need to pay stamp duty for land and building?

In some states, stamp duty rates for property transfer by way of gift is the same as for sale or conveyance deed. However, rules vary across states; certain state governments even offer some concession if the property is being gifted to blood relatives
