Someone is taking over our temple we are owners how to stop it legally

hello sir, our ancestor has developed a temple far away from city(we have a doc in which, my dadaji is asking to repair the temple to the emperor, but he refused saying "its your own ,you should repair it" ) about 100 years ago. As it is situated far away from the city at the bank of river narmada, we can not go to the temple. But on the festival(once in an year) , many people worship. kindly suggest me , how to rid out of this. the man who is pssesing the temple is a lawyer.

After the emperor asking your grandfather to repair, did he get the property repaired on his own expenses?
And since then, was he in possession of the property?
Since how much time the Lawyer is in possession and how the Lawyer got possession and in what capacity?
Is the Lawyer now posses the property as administrator/emperor or he has taken over possession illegally?
