Sale agreement didnt go through now trying to take property by goons

my Father-in law sold a piece of land through a contractor in 2004 with an agreement of 1yr. the party didn't pay us the entire amount so we didn't give them the registry. they forcefully stayed over there and in 2016 they are now pressurizing us to hand over the registry with the help of local goons, demanding that they had paid the amount. our lawyer is out of station. kindly help us.
Go to the police station and lodge an F.I.R against them mentioning about your life risk by the local goons. And other part is civil case , cancel the agreement and if they did not vacate the land file an eviction suit. contact a civil lawyer he can help you.
