The eligibility for a share in the property of father to his daughter under the Hindu succession act, 1955 shall be not from the date of birth but when it becomes effective.
She will become eligible or entitled to a share out of her father's property who is reported to have died intestate only after his lifetime. Her father is reported to have died in the year 1996, therefore as per the Hindu succession act which came into effect in the year 1956, she is entitled to an equal share along with her brother and other siblings in her deceased father's property.
The TN amendment in the yer 1989 is about the equal rights of the daughter in the ancestral property too.
