Refusal to provide CC and OC Copy of Society.

I have applied for Education Loan and for some legal procedures ,the advocate of the bank had asked for Lease Agreement , OC and CC Copy of the Society. However the society has refused to provide the copy of the same to us. Can society refuse such request if a member of the society asks for it?
First of all, are you or any of your family member, owner of the property or you are on rent? If you are the owner of property then the copy of OC and CC will be attached in your Agreement and if you cannot find it then Society has to provide the copy of the same. But, in case if you are on rent then you can place request through the owner of property, as Society will not directly entertain you.
