DEAR SIR, I AM MARRIED WOMEN FROM MUMBAI,MY FATHER DIED IN MAY 2006, WITHOUT MAKING THE WILL AND THERE ARE SIX LEGAL HEIRS (ALL MARRIED) OF INTESTATE PROPERTY. THIS PROPERTY IS IN MY POSSESSION SINCE MY BIRTH IE MORE THAN 55 YEARS. MY FATHER DIED IN MAY 2006, NOW I WANT TO PEACEFULLY WANT TO SETTLE THE MATTER, AS ALL HEIRS DEMANDS THEIR RIGHTS. WHAT IS THE PROCEDURE AS THEY WANT THE SIGNATURE REGISTERED OF ALL LEGAL HEIRS.. WHAT POINT TO REMENBER BEFORE SIGNING THIS PAPER. PLS HELP ME SIR.

You can prepare a family settlement deed by putting all the terms and conditions of your settlement in respect of property mutually as agreed upon if all the legal heirs are ready and willing to consent letter for same. If there is dispute between parties then you can knock the door of court of law for same.
