Purchase of ancestral property from person

A person and his mother had divided their ancestral property after the father's death. Now the person wants to sell a part of agricultural land(one part out of many). His mother supports the sale. but his wife is not agreeing to sale. can one buy the land without legal trouble? The title deed and pass book are in his name and there is not encumbrance.

No, ancestral property be cannot be sold without consent of successors in case of major. And if property disposed without consent can be reclaimed.
