Purchase a land in name of elder brother when Joint Family &business;

Joint family & business since 1930-87.My grand father had three sons.My father born after three month of his father expiration in1936.In1950 2 land plots Purchase by the elder brother in his name as karta of the family and he expired in 2001 without distributing the said 2 land plots among his brothers along with the native place house which is in name of my grand father.In 2012the elder brother sons sold1 plot claming that his father was separate in 1950&he purchase the property from his own income.So you(both) will not get the money .Again they are claming1/3 portion of native house. If the land is in your grand fathers name then it becomes an ancesteral property and you can file a suit for partition thereby seeking your portion of land in the property.
