Parent wanting to gift the property in daughter's name

I am an NRI and USA citizen. My mother wishes me to inherit her residential apartment in south delhi. What is the fastest and economical way to go about transferring the property in my name. Mother is 81 years old.

You ask her to make a WILL in your name. In that case you will inherit the property after she is no more.
Otherwise she can transfer the appt to you by making a Gift deed duly registered in the office of the Registrar of that area. Through this you will get it during her life time only.
