Original owner of property filed FIR for fake property registration

My father in law is trapped as by a fake property registry . It was already registered on an unknown person and my father in law had registry from another fake person with fake documents and now that fake person ran out of the country and the person on whom property was orignally registered filled an FIR . And now police is behind my father in law . Please help needed .
