No nominee appointed yet by the bank what will happen to the property

i had my home loan in PNG which I am transferring to HDFC bank. in the process fo the formalities i told them to add nominee to which they are reluctant. they told it can be done later. Should i force them for the nominee? if i dont give any nominee and something happen to me before the loan is paid off what will happen to the property. Please let me know. Thnks
