Hello,
With the query you have posted, i would advice the following;
Taking signatures on blank stamp papers worth Rs 50 or Rs 100 could result in misuse in far or near future. Such papers could be used to fabricate documents, and making use of such fabricated documents against the person who had signed for any purpose, including misappropriation of funds and wrongful transfer of property.
As mentioned by you that your wife is as well a shareholder in the same property, and would be holding an equivalent share after the demise of your mother in law if she dies intestate, in that case such signed papers could be used against your wife for her claim in future.
For such difficulty, you can file a criminal case against your brother in law as well there are certain other options with you in such case

I hope with the limited facts provided, this answers your query.

Yes signed blank papers can be misused. She should file suit for cancellation of the documents after giving notice in newspapers. Regarding her own ing full share in the property after death of mother in law can not be answered unless documents of that property are examined.

There is no need to worry about stamp paper signature as they donot hold any legal validity. Any misuse will not hod legal validity. Keep disclaimer ready that any signature before this date are not valid.

You can also give him a legal warning if you think he is misusing the stamp paper. If he does, then ull file a criminal complaint against him. File a police report about criminal intimidation under ipc 506. Mention that he forced you to sign the stampaper.
