15-Mar-2023 (In Property Law)

my grand mother had a property which was acquired after death of my grand father, as she was the legal heir. she had a son and a daughter. But in that legal heir, she didnot mentioned any thing about her daughter. my grandfather died in 1993 and grandmother in 2011. her daughter wants to claim for her share in that property. There is any provision in law which supports her, in claiming her share?

Yes.
Daughter's are eligible to claim the share of their father's property .
the legal heirs of your grand father are your grand mother and her children(son and daughter).
Even if the property was transferred to your grand mother's name, then also the son and daughter are eligible to claim a share of their property. Hindu succession act 1956 is all about women succeeding to the properties.
