Land Dispute due to construction by governement

I have land in a rural area. It has a front with rural road. Govt. rebuilt a rural road after which i lost the front of the road due to straight alignment of the road. The road was built on the other side of the land owner. and he is claiming the land between the new road and the old road (14000 sqr feet). I have lost the market value of the land, is there any remedy or law.
As per the land acquisition act, before the proposed acquisition, the decision will be conveyed to the land owners which has been properly done to you.
Court do not entertain any sentimental issues including the reasons like physically handicapped etc.
The acquisition is in the nation's interest hence even supreme court has no power to interfere in it.
You might have been informed about the compensation for acquiring the land accordingly. If you feel that the compensation is very less, you my file for an enhancement of compensation with whatever genuine reasons you have in your side.
