land acquired for development but no development no compensation given

My grndfthr prchsd a ppty in UP in 1966 thru ppr doc.It ws gvn 2 dudhwala who used it 4 kiping his buffalos n few years back we askd him 2 vacate but he refused.V fght a case in d court n won in 2006. We hv 2 execute that order.But later v found dat dis land ws acqred by the UP govt as per LA act,1894 in 1972 and handd over to Imprvmnt Trust(i hv copy of notfction & LA) bt v were unaware abt dis & it was not intimated to us during 1969 till 2016.Cmpnsation of Rs 218 not taken by any1. 1) what legal remedy v adopt? 2) Can we get our land based on fact dat no devlpmnt tuk on dis land by govt?

Section 101 is clear and simple. It says that “when any land acquired under this Act remains unutilised for a period of five years from the date of taking over the possession, the same shall be returned to the original owner or owners or their legal heirs, as the case may be, or to the Land Bank of the appropriate Government by reversion in the manner as may be prescribed by the appropriate Government.” This however, applies only to land acquired under the 2013 law.
