Land Acquired by BDA granted compensation but did not claimed

21-Mar-2023 (In Property Law)

Hi, Our land was acquired by Bangalore development authority (BDA) in 90's. We filed a suit in 96 n we were awarded compensation amount in 2008. We hav not yet claimed the amount as it is very less compared to the loss we hav incurred. One of the lands has been fully developed n few sites sold whereas the other has not been developed by BDA except it is fenced. Is it possible for us to get few sites along with awared amt or just we shud claim the amount? And for the land which is not developed by BDA even after 20 yrs of acquisition, shud v not get back our land? How to approach, plz help

As per your query, you can challenge the order given by the court in a court of higher jurisdiction and ask for a higher compensation. Post that it is upto the court's discretion to grant you whatever amount it deems fit as compensation.
