My uncle gifted me his flat last year. I stay with him in same flat. I applied share certificate transferred last year. Society now wants me to give public notice ad in papers but forcing me to public in times which is widely read which is costly so is it any law or rule to publish this ad? Kindly list out names of newspapers in which notice can publish and court will allowed.

As per provision of law to get share certificate you need to give public notice in local area where the society is located in vernacular language. But law never say that you need to publish advertisement in SPECIFIC PAPER only. as per you budget you can chose any news paper in your vicinity where the society is located.
