Is an unregistered gift deed valid or not

I am a muslim. My father has 2 properties under his name. And now he is dead for 2 years. How should i sell the place and what procedure is to be followed. I have a elder sister and brother and mom. Kindly advice. Also if there is a gift deed and its not registered then will it be valid or not.. thanks in advance

Gift deed in mohamedan law is called as hiba deed it may be even oral provided there should be two witnesses to it. Hence, if your deed is not registered you can move for the sale of the property.
