If there is a Will. how is the property distributed ?

My grandfather having a plot of 650 sq yrd but he not purchased that from any one but way of adverse possession he is the owner of that plot. My question is can he distribute that plot among there legal heirs by way of will to any one. For eg he has 3 son if he distribute the property between two son than is there any anylaw the third son can claim his right in that property.

If the person owning the property acquired it on their own (self-acquired property), they will have a right to dispose off their property as per their will. However, in case of ancestral property, provisions of the Hindu Succession Act will be applicable.
In case there is a will deciding the devolution of property after the death of the owner, the same will be active after the death of the owner. The Will will be of no use for ancestral property.
