If your husband died intestate (without making a will) and he was Hindu then the property automatically passes on to you and your children (if any) in equal shares. The procedure for the same is to apply to your local authorities (Estate Office, MC etc) and get the said property transferred formally in the name of all the heirs (you and your children, if any) by submitting the requisite documents including the death certificate etc.
