How to transfer property as gift deed from father to son?

My father has a residential plot in builder society and this plot can be transferred to anyone by paying transfer fees to builder as conveyance deed on this plot is not done till date.my father want to transfer this plot in my name.pl. advice how to proceed and will it attract any registration/stamp duty for gift deed
The stamp duty on the gift deed varies from state to state. Also, you can opt for either of the options like you can make a gift deed by your father in your name.
