How to recover token money when property deal is cancelled

A token money of Rs 10K was given to a property dealer for direct transfer a plot from seller to buyer(us) as seller doesn't have registry of that plot. But after a discussion between seller and property dealer, he tried to compell us to pay for registration of plot to seller . Then we have to pay again to get it registered on our name. So due to lack of faith, we refuse to buy. No legal or any docs was signed. The dealee is refusing to pay token money back...what legal action can we take?
Hi, as you said you do not have any document pertaining to the said token amount and agreement to sell with the seller then you have only way i.e. Lodge a police complaint against the seller mentioning his fraud.
