how to protect ownership of my house

29-Aug-2023 (In Property Law)
Me and my family moved out to delhi from U.P. 6 years ago by allowing our uncle to live in our house in U.P. We generally go there once in one/ two month and original documents of property are with us.but we are little scared that may my uncle in greed of property make any strategy to misuse our house to get bank loan / sale of property. Please tell me is it possible that he may take any loan from bank/ sale property by preparing of fraud documents? and What should be we do to secure our interest from any fraudulent activity in future?

At the moment there is nothing you can do. At best you can file an peremptory complaint with the police saying that you fear the property may be misused by your uncle. As far the loan is concerned, banks usually do not give loans without first seeing the original documents. The other thing you can do to secure your title is have it published in a local newspaper that you are the actual and legal owners and your uncle only has permissive use and occupation of the property.
