How to get property registration done if living there since 1998

Hello My father shifted to our existing house some 40 years back. Around In 1998, my father paid full dues to the housing cooperative society. But till now the property has not been transferred to my father's name. Upon contacting to society, they said, the house cannot be transferred for no valid reason. Please advise how we can transfer the house on my father's name. Thanks
Please tell me that in what capacity your father was occupied the alleged house. What reason was assigned by the to non transferring of house in your fathers name. You have given me the incomplete information so that I can't give you the proper advice

As per ur query ur father paid full dues to the housing society and still society didn't transfer in name of ur father, so u have Legal right to sui case on society for the transferred name as well as recover damage from society as compensation ,rest on VI's a vise
