If your husband died intestate (without making a will) and he was Hindu then the house automatically passes on to you and your children (if any) in equal shares. The procedure for the same is to apply to your local authorities (Estate Office, MC etc) and get the said house transferred formally in the name of all the heirs (you and your children, if any) by submitting the requisite documents including the death certificate etc. Your in laws will not get anything from the said property.
you have to act immediately then whole property will be distributed amount your husband mother, you and your children name in equal proportionate. Else they may sale it illegally.
