How to file case for trespass on land

Nine years before my friend got land from his father throuugh gift deed.At the time of registration i was a student & witness of the gift deed.But now the land was occupied by others.Can i file case on behalf of my friend & againest tresspassers as a advocate.
No, your friend should file the case. You have no locus standi to file the case. You are only a witness. Your job is to say before the court that whether the parties have signed in your presence or not.
