How to divide the property of my grandfather

My grandfather (fathers father) has 1acre land. He has 5sons & 4daughters. All are married & each have 2 children. My grandfather & grand mother both have expired 10 year back without any will. All the land documents are there in the name of my grand father & grand mother. Initial first owner--> grant father & grand mother second generation--> 5 sons & 4 daughters Third generation--> 18 grant children (1) can you please tell me the step by step procedure to change the name in document to second generation (2) how to divide the property. i.e. hoe much land to sons & how much to daughters

The property which is in the name of your grandfather, and it is a self acquired property of your grandfather then the property will be first distributed among the children of your grandparents and the grandchildren can claim share in the property after the death of their parents.

As per law of the land you uncles have got no right to refuse partition of property as asked by your father. Contact a good lawyer, apprise him all the facts and necessary documents. He will advise you further course of action.

The easy and simple way to get partition done is through a Panchnama deed , with the consent of all the parties. But your uncles are not ready then you can file a petition before your concerned Panchayat in this regard or may file a suit for partition in your civil court

You can only claim your share in the property which stands in the name of your grandfather .For that you will have to file partition suit in the civil court, where property is situated.certainly ,you win the case and will get your share of property.

In this case, the property of the grandfather that the parent would have inherited had they been alive is divided between the mother (if alive), the grandchild and his siblings. This share will be divided equally between the siblings and mother. Both siblings get the same share.
