How to divide land between children as per Hindu Law

We have 4 acres land on Mother's name which purchased from Fathers earning. She is illiterate. We want stay for land sales by misguiding illiterate mother by any her son or relatives or any people. So want legal advise on it. Can you anybody suggest what will be the best option.
First of all please clarify whether you are the daughter. In addition to that I need to know whether the mother is the sole owner of the land. Where is this land located? Who are the other legal heirs?
