How to change status from nominee to owner of a property

My husband's died before 4 years. I have a flat in delhi society, rohini but flat in the name of My husband, i am nominee of this flat. I have one child. How can i change the flat name into my name .
Also does his family has a right on this property or not ?
I am presuming that it is your husband's self aquired property and he died intestate(without any WILL), so here you can approach to the Housing Society with an application to Change the Name of the owner with the Nominee. You can also go through the bye laws of the society regarding to the changing of name.

You need to transfer that flat in your name, for legal formalities few documents are required, all documents should be produced to your nearest civil court.
Death certificate, marriage certificate, flat registration papers along with affidavit.

Have your husband left behind his Will? If yes then it will be as per the same. If there is no Will then you have to file an application with the registrar of the Society along with his death certificate.

To convert the status of the same if there is no legal testimony such as will or any other documents you need to go ahead and seek succession certificate from the court showing that you are one of the legal heirs and nominees in the said flat and on basis of which the same can be registered in your name .Offcourse you and your child are the legal heirs and one of the nominees then it's your right above any other legal heir please contact with details for further information thanks.
