How to adhere to BBMP laws

08-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
i have a small plot of 1000sq ft area. (B KHATA) currently under construction and columns have been erected. neighbour has been threatening for 3ft width setback. what happens if adequate setback is not left as per building BBMP bylaws as it is difficult to adhere and we deviate as there is no plan sanction for area. can i face an injunction from neighvour/bbmp. how to vacate the stay/injunction in such a case? as usually all constructions in area do not adhere to bbmp bylaws as strictly mentioned.

Are the pillars on that side of neighbour`s plot touching its border ? or his wall, if he has a construction in it ? Has that neighbour on his other side or the building on other side of your plot have set backs ? Usually BBMP approves your plan sanction after your house is built. If on either side buildings there are no windows facing your plot you are somewhat safe in not leaving set back.
