16-Jun-2023 (In Property Law)
Sir, I want to buy an ancestral property from a person who is the tittle holder , his father had got this property by way of Govt grant. Presently the RTC is coming in the name of the grant holder`s son .In order to buy this property, how many generations have to sign the sale deed. Eg ( first grant holder is dead, now his son and how many more generations? )

A granted land is not dealt in the same way as ancestral property. In order to transfer the title of the granted land, it is necessary to seek the Deputy Commissioner's permission and on such conditions as may be specified by the Deputy Commissioner.

Please provide more details, such as when the land was originally granted, whether the land was granted to SC/ST person, etc.
