Guidance for buying a resale property

I am buying a resale home. If I gave the seller token amount within how much time I am supposed to make other payments. I am buying flat for Rs. 50 lacs. Can you please tell me what is the legal procedure and what percentage of amount should be paid within what time?? Thanks

You need to verify the title documents of the ownership of the seller.
It depends on the arrangement and your financial comfort on when and how to make the full or part payment.
However, you need to ensure that the the agreement is registered between you and the seller.

You have to be sure that the seller has got absolute right to sell, the property is not shared by any of his relations or co purchasers, there is no mortgage, or it does not belong to a minor, proper search is taken, title ascertained.
You may enter into an mou collect all title document papers study them, get search conducted in registra's office, put advertisement, get the agreement drafted properly, pay stamp duty register it, simultaneously get the possession enjoy it. If all of this you can do properly well and good if no consult a lawyer having experience in this type of work.
