Gave land gift on trust now can cancel it to get my land back?

l have an inherited plot of land.One of my nephew had been accomplished n brought up in our family. He started creating undue pressure on me to donate my land to him. later on when he assured me 1.he will permanently stay here 2. provide me newly constructed residence 3.provide me maintenance until death. I transferred half portion of my land in the name of his wife. He started construction but stopped it when he got another plot gifted by his mother in law. He recently shifted there and now he telling to sale my gifted land ignoring all of his commitments. Can i cancel the gift and get land?
Yes. You can cancel the Gift Deed. However, to ensure complete prevention of misuse of the gift deed, you will also be required to take civil action against him.

Yes the same can be cancelled but subject to various conditions. Judging by the query posted , a plea of having the gift declared void based on consent being taken fraudulently and forcefully shall be apt . You can very wel get your land back.

In the circumstance given here bu you it is suggested that there are many other legal recourses you could take, however, cancellation of gift deed is not one of them. Cancellation of gift deed can be done with the consent of the donee and there are bleak chances donee agrees to that. however many other legal remedies are available.
