If the money is earned by your grand father, legally you have no right to ask for your share in his life time. If the property is inherited by his forefathers then you became entitle get your share of property.

Hi
Technically whatsoever your grand father earned on his own, it is his absolute property.
However if your grand father does not leave behind any will or effect a Gift deed in favour of any of the remaining heirs, you will be eligible to get your father's share.
Are you sure that your grand father got all of his property through his own income or did he have any agricultural land or properties that he got from his father(your great grand father)?
