Father bought land but did not get it registered on his name

my Father boought a piece of land 20 years ago but he did not get that registered.now both the brothers are dead but their family members are demanding that land now. Both the brothers died of kidney failure and suffered for a long time before death. So my father found it unsympathetic to approach them to tell about land registration before their death. Will I get any legal help from court?
