Dear Sirs,
Ours is a 30 membered registered society.We are under the process of revamping the existing MC,whose terms expires.Is it mandatory to invite registrar & conduct the election in his presence,vide the Official Gazette of 11.09.2014 as announced by the Govt. of Maharashtra, Maharashtra Co-operative Societies [ Election To Committee ] Rules 2014 in .Or,is there a waiver for smaller societies,if so pl guide with the relevant notification/explanations etc.

As per information given by clients, I am giving by legal opinion,
Now society cannot conduct election since the co-operative election commission is creation thus registrar has power to conduct election. In this regard society can send the proposal for conducting of election of society to registrar.
