Does the will have to be registered?

Co-op society flat ownership in 2 names. Can 3rd name be inserted. Can one of the owners will his share to a daughter on death. Does the will have to be Registered / Probated

WILL need not be registered. will is effective after death of the maker, provided Probate is taken from competent court. so will need not be registered bt the terms of the will is effective after probate from the court

Yes the third name can be inserted with the consent of the cooperative. Yes one's share may be left by will and such will need not be registered.

however it is strongly advised that wills be registered especially in cases of undivided share in a property.
