Do I have any right over inherited property

30-May-2023 (In Property Law)
my family has 2 inherited properties from my grand parents and one self acquired property held jointly by me and my brother. we are in the verge of partition. sister is not making any claim. My father has asked us to divide the self acquired property among me and my brother and keeping the 2 inherited properties for himself. When asked about the future of the 2 properties he declined to make any declarations. I fear that he might give it totally to my brother as they are planning to stay together in that place. do i have any legal right over the inherited properties . kindly advice

If the property was an ancestral property then your father cannot transfer the property to you brother. Every legal heir has equal right on the property and the property will be divided according to the Indian Succession Act.
