Division of agricultural land among family members and sell

There is an ancestral agricultural land near Nagpur, Maharashtra inherited by my mother from her father. My mother's name is mentioned in satbaara (7/12 which is an extract from the land register maintained by the revenue department of the government of Maharashtra). As of today, my uncle (mother's brother) has given this land on rent for farming. My mother wants to divide the land in equal parts among all her siblings and want to sell her share. What is the legal process for making this division? What are legal options my mother has if my uncle refuses to cooperate in this division process?
