Distribution of grandfather's property among the legal heirs
06-May-2023 (In Property Law)
I have a joint family having 29 members in my village till 1986 to 2009 only my father is working and all are dependent on him.my father invested money alone for construction of house . And now the family is going to be nuclear family . i want to know after family division what my father will get from property of grandfather. And from where should i get the grandfathers property
If the property is an ancestral property, every legal heir will have share in the property. The property will be divided according to Hindu Succession Act and your father will get his share accordingly. A partition suit needs to be filed in the civil court having jurisdiction of the property.
