No as the father of the daughter died before 2005 amendment which provided daughters a right in the property. Thus, daughter in this situation has no right to claim her share in the ancestral or self acquired property. As the Hindu Succession Act, 1956, originally did not give daughters inheritance rights in the ancestral property. Though they have the right to demand sustenance/maintenance from the Hindu joint family.
