Daughter's right on property if father died in 1985

01-Nov-2023 (In Property Law)
(Hindu) Here's is a situation where A(person's name) got property from his elder brother B ( who died in 1980).B was not having children. A died on 1985 without specifying anything on land ownership. A have 6 children 3 male and 3 female. Now children wants to share the land. As their father died on 1985 which law applies for land sharing. Whether daughters get equal share as per new law or will this be divided as per law which was there in 1985( father's death). Is there any change in law as land was given by A's brother B to him. Please explain how land will be divided and why.

It's not clear how B gave property to A is it by a registered document or a will. If the property isn't given by a registered document or a will, A will not be the legal owner of the property.

If property has been given under a registered document or a will then class 1 legal heirs will get share that is mother, wife and children in equal shares.

Even daughters have equal right. This isn't a HUF property.
