Damage 2 apartment by leakage of water from overhead tank and rains

I have 2 flats in 2 separate apartments.in one flat water is leaking through slab during rains and damaging ceiling finish. I have contacted owner in upper floor to repair the leakage but he is not responding. In another flat due to leakage in over head tank water is entering into my flat through external walls and damsging internal colours. The society is not responding to my requests for repair. Both requests are personal and oral. Pl advise me regarding remedies available
You will have to file an application to the co-operative housing society formed for your apartment. If they fail to provide a solution then you can file a civil suit in the jurisdictional civil court against the said society.
