Constructed on government land by people

I have a hakku patra of my father's land. He passed away 10 years back. It was a land alloted by the government for ex-serviceman. But some people have constructed a house in the land. Will I be able to claim it now or is there any other way to get the land back.
Without sparing time you should immediately lodged an FIR against the said person for criminal trespass and encroachment. You must also issue a legal notice. Similarly you can initiate a civil proceeding against the said person.
