Company amalgamated how will the maintenance charges be distributed

I am member of housings society register as Section 25 company. I have two plots of area 3400 sq ft n 4600 sq ft. Which I have amalgamated with XX before formation of company. I have built single house on the same. Company maintains only common area outside my plot. Water n other charges paid by me directly to XX. Now company wants to charge for two plots although I have amalgamated them. (Company charges per plot to all members). Also now they want to change to per square ft rate. How can they charge per sq ft when they do not engage in any services inside my plot. They want to do this so that common maintenance distribution is done size of your plot...can they do that? Do section 25 companies also govern by Maharashtra Society by law ?
