What is the content of gift deed? What kind of property it is? How many legal heirs for your grandfather? Sons and daughters have a right in ancestral property by birth; . They are in joint possession and ownership of property .

Your grandfather has received Gift Deed from his mother that means he has become the sole owner of the mentioned property in the Gift Deed. Nobody can claim the property which is gifted. One can gift the self acquired property only. So in your case the son of the grandfather's sister can not claim the the property which is gifted by the mother of the grandfather to him.
