Claim property while I have surname of Adhikari instead of Panwar.

When I was 2 months my mother died.My father who is Panwar gave to me Adhikari. Adhikari parents educated me and give name. Now my Panwar father died and Iam his only son.could I claim property while I have surname of Adhikari instead of Panwar. Now another man who is not family member come with new will to claim property.who is real heir of property?

What do you mean when you say your father gave you to Adhikari? Was there a legal adoption? In your documents such as school certificate, driving license etc what is your name? Are there any other legal heirs apart from? If there was no adoption and we can have supporting documents, you can claim your father's property.

please tell me they adopted you or just they educated you & what father name do u write on your documents. & please tell me that will is valid or it is wrongly maid . after getting all these details from your end then only i can suggest you something so revert me .
