You have to pay court fees which and not a deposit.

You can deposit money in the account department only if the court orders you to do so.

The court will mostly give injunction (stay) if convinced.

Litigation does take time to give result. If procedural technicalities are not taken advantage for adjournments by either parties then process will be faster. Minimum 1-2 years.

Amount to be deposited is the amount of security from you. In case you are the loser in the case, the recoverable amount shall be deducted from the deposit. If recovery from you is more than the deposit, you will be told to pay. In case you are the winner and you have to receive and not pay. Then your security amount will be returned to you.
