Sir,
As per the law if any tenant resides in house of landlord for more than 12 years then u can get adverse possession ....
But u hv to go in court of law for this ..
So,u hv a chance to get ownership.

You have Ur tenancy right in the property hence landlord can not evict you, unless u hv violated statutory provisions of law e.g. not paying rent etc.or if there is any tenancy agreement has been executed then as per terms of the agreement.otherwise you have right in ur Propery as tenant .even if property goes for redevelopment.. u vl have ur right in new construction in propotion to ur present area with some incentive as provided under relevant law.

Whether you were paying the rent regularly? And got receipt for the same? If yes you can be treated as owner by adverse possession of that property since past 80 hears. For more help revert back to me.
